Yesterday I had the opportunity to be the event photographer for the 2010 Vets 4 Pets 5k run/walk at The Ohio State University. Veterinary students at the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine hosted the annual event to promote fitness for people and their pets while also raising money to benefit CHA Animal Shelter. The race course looped around the OSU campus past both Mirror Lake and the Horseshoe. The sun was shining on a very brisk November morning for the event and the turnout was fantastic. Lots of dogs participated with their people both walking and running. CHA had a booth set-up at the event and brought along just a few of the dogs that are currently up for adoption. I, of course, fell in love with a little, black Pit Bull puppy who was beyond generous with his kisses. I really wanted to take him home with me!
