I was excited when Ava’s mom contacted me to take her portraits this past weekend while I was in Youngstown. I photographed Ava when she was 9 months old, almost 2-years to the date of this year’s session. Mom, dad and Ava met me at Fellows Riverside Gardens for this session and we had beautiful October weather while we were at the park. Since Halloween is just a few days away, the gardens were decorated with tons of pumpkins which kept this little cutie occupied for a good part of our time together. It took her a little bit to warm-up to me and she was quite camera-shy in the beginning of our photo session. But once she was ready, she checked out pumpkins, flowers and the “princess castle” otherwise known as the gazebo while I was photographing away. I must say, Ava made me work hard for every photograph that I took of her and it was so much fun! Kudos to her mom for bringing some GREAT clothing choices along! I loved both her outfits which included a little fur vest for a more casual outfit and then a knit dress with matching hat. I can’t wait to finish working on editing the rest of the photographs from this sessions — Ava’s expressions are just priceless!
