Nicole brought her beautiful family to Gahanna for an outdoor portrait session in October. We were lucky that the kids had the day off of school for our scheduled photos. Mom and I were watching the weather like hawks in the days leading up to the portrait session. It was our luck that the rain was going to hit the Columbus area right at our scheduled start time. We did a little adjusting and started two hours earlier than planned and missed the dreary rain showers that rolled in.
Nicole and I were emailing and texting to figure out the best outfit choices for the kids in the weeks before the portraits. I love the final selection of a combination of gray and navy for them. The children coordinated well together and looked fantastic against the fall trees.
This family is super cute. Colette, at 16-years-old is the oldest of the children. Then there is Natalie in the middle at 13 and finally is Christian, the youngest at 8-years-old. We were able to create not only portraits of the three of them together, but also individual images as well. I think the girls were expecting boring school-like photos from the session, but it was nothing like that. I also captured some simply stunning images of the two sisters together, these girls are heartbreakers for sure! Christian made me chuckle that he was always happy to jump into images with his lovely sisters, with a non-stop smile on his face, you knew he loves them so much.
I am excited to see which portraits of the kids mom picks for their holiday cards as well as a wall portrait. Thank you Nicole for selecting me to photograph your children at this point in their lives. You were a great family to work with!
