I have known Nicole’s dad for a few years now and I was surprised that it was already time for her senior year in high school. Nicole is in the 2014 graduating class from Canfield High School. I knew from the first time I saw her that she would be amazing in front of the camera.
We started her Saturday morning portrait session in Downtown Youngstown. It was a lovely day with a slight breeze, which was a change from the humid weather we have had lately. We walked around Federal Plaza West and had some fun, urban backdrops to choose from during her photos. The architecture is fantastic downtown and there is a great mix of modern and older buildings in a small area.
Nicole brought along a ton of great outfits, shoes and accessories for her shoot. I love the layered look and suggest to all my clients to bring layered outfits. We can quickly change looks just by changing the layers and accessories for even more clothing options.
After spending time downtown, we took a quick drive to Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park for the second half of her photos. We were lucky to get there just before a wedding started in the gazebo and got some great shots there as well.
Just like almost every high school senior I photograph, Nicole was a little nervous when we started, even though she knew me. It only took about 15 minutes and the nerves were long gone and she was rocking it like a professional model for the camera.
I had a really difficult time trying to pick my favorites from her photo session. She had so many fantastic images to choose from! Here are just a few of my favorite portraits of her. Thank you Nicole for choosing Danielle Neil Photography for your senior portraits!
