Columbus Headshot Photographer: Natalie | Detached

album cover photographyI’ve been photographing so many pets lately that it was a nice change when Natalie contacted me about headshots for her. Natalie and I are former co-workers and she’s a yearly client of mine for her family photos. She recently decided to get back into singing and is going to release a single soon, called Detached. She’s been hard at work the last few months, working with her producer, Ben Albaugh. So not only was I able to do headshots for her, but I also designed the artwork for the CD jacket and CD face. It’s been a fun project to work on with her and I can’t wait to hear her single when it’s released!

Natalie had wanted to have her session at Wolfe Park, but the day of her session was a scorcher! She thought the next best place with air conditioning would be Franklin Park Conservatory. It was a great pick, especially since the humidity was off the charts that morning. Natalie brought along her consultant, who is also her daughter, Lina, for the session. We had a great time and I love the photographs that I was able to create for Natalie’s album.

Here’s my favorite for the day, which is also the final for the cover. Yes, I’ve posted the same image twice, but I love the color version and she looks fierce in the black and white version too! If everything works out as planned, Natalie will be releasing a full album in the future. Good luck Natalie, I can’t wait to see what you do with this project!

Such pretty headshots! I agree, it looks very different in color and black and white, and both are gorgeous. Good luck with the album, Natalie- so exciting!
