Lola was one of the 16 pups I had the opportunity to photograph for the Sit.Stay.Smile. event benefiting Friends of Fido MCDP. I photographed Lola last October for the Kibble & Pics event benefiting Alchemy Acres Animal Sanctuary. Her last session was an understated one for the doggie diva. She was in natural mode since we did her session outside at Boardman Park.
This time around, the fabulous Maltipoo was all dolled up for her indoor session at the Boardman studio. See that silly photo to the side – her person, Becki, texted me that photograph two days before the event. She was getting not only her nails painted, but also getting her pink highlights touched up! Yes, this dog really is a diva! Becki’s daughter informed me that Lola not only has her own drawer for her hair bows, but also a small closet for all her clothes!!
But, unlike most divas, this one is the sweetest one you will ever meet! She did amazing for her quick, 15-minute session and I had a heck of a time narrowing down the photographs. The perfect pup was on her best behavior and did exactly what we asked of her. But we did wear her out in that short period of time. Two clothing changes may have been what did her in.
When Becki signed up for the charity session, she told me Lola would be dolled up in pink clothing. I kept that in the back of my head when I placed a backdrop order. So the super fun and bright pink and purple backdrop was ordered just for Lola and her outfit choices.
Get ready for some cuteness overload! I’m not usually one for dressing dogs up for portraits, but when the outfits are this cute, how could you not be in love?
