Brutus is a 5-year old Boxer-Lab mix. With a name like Brutus, you know his parents are Ohio State Buckeye fans! This adorable dog was going to tag along for his pet parent’s engagement session a few weeks back, but Jason and Stephanie decided to wait and have this cutie’s portraits done on his own. I left Columbus for the holidays and made my way to Boardman over the 4th of July weekend. With some free time in my schedule, we set up a shoot for Brutus.
Jason wanted some action shots of Brutus, so we decided to start out in their backyard. But before we got started, I spent a good 20-minutes in the house rubbing his belly. He is such a ham and acts like no one ever loves on him, which is so far from the truth. After some quality time being loved, we headed outside to capture him in action in his own yard. Once he was tuckered out from all the activity, we made our way over to Boardman Park for some additional photos. It was a pretty quiet day at the park, which was great, because Brutus is easily distracted by people, pets and random noises.
I love all of the images I captured of Brutus and hopefully his parents do too! Here are a few from our afternoon in the park.
