Of course our family is full of dogs being a dog photographer. If you follow the blog, you know that my mom’s West Highland White Terrier, Gunnie, is always being photographed. Every time I have a new set, prop, dog portrait idea, Gunnie is there to try it out. It is much easier using her dog as my guinea pig for sessions, than using my own two fur kids. My mom and I have learned over time and too many photo sessions that this Westie does best in the studio. He gets so distracted by anything and everything when we are on-location for photographs, that he refuses to look at the camera.
The Valentine Mini set ended up being one of the best sessions for Gunnie, to date. While there was a lot of jumping off the settee and running around the studio, I was able to capture some super fun images of him.
If you are considering a photography session for your dog, but are not sure about a full session, the limited edition minis are a great opportunity to try out Danielle Neil Photography. Mini sessions are offered throughout the year with various themes. They are great for clients who are budget-minded or only plan on purchasing a few small prints. The deadline for booking the 2014 Valentine Minis is January 22nd. If you are interested in scheduling a Valentine session for your dog, more information can be found at here or email Danielle at info@danielleneil.com.
