Wow, this November and December are flying by! I’ve been so busy with projects and Christmas shopping that I have been slacking on my blog posts! I was much busier than I even expected with kids, pet and family photography. Some were surprise Christmas gifts, some were for Holiday cards and others were just because they were due for updated portraits.
We were really hoping to have great weather and beautiful Fall colors for Tammy’s family portrait session. Well, dear Mother Nature had other ideas for us. On Tammy’s original session date, the weather was horrific — about 25 degrees out, rain and bone chilling wind. The rain date was only slightly better – it looked warm out and after 20 degree weather, you would think low 40’s would be warm, but that slight breeze in the air chilled us to the bone for the photos. And the rain and wind the previous week took down about every single leaf that was left on the trees. But Tammy, her husband, Scott, and kids, Collin, Brody and Andrew braved the weather for our shoot.
I kept the session moving as quick as possible and every so often, the family would jump into the car to warm up. Tammy and her family also brought their adorable dog Milo, along to the session. Andrew was so excited about Milo coming along for the photos and he really, really wanted a photograph alone with his best friend.
Even with the chilly weather and lack of leaves, I was still able to create some cute images for Tammy’s family. Here are a few of my favorites from our chilly afternoon at the B&O Station in Downtown Youngstown.
