July Adoptable Dogs & Cats from Pets Without Parents

I was so glad to get a date lined up to stop in at Pets Without Parents for photographs of the adoptable dogs and cats. The shelter had been without power for a few days due to the Blackout of 2012 in Columbus. Not only was a large chunk of Central Ohio without power, but there was on-going record high temperatures during the outage! That did not stop the amazing staff and volunteers at PWP and they were working hard to care for the pets during the outage.

There was also some big news for the shelter in July! Toyota is currently running a program called 100 Cars for Good. They are giving away 100 cars to nonprofits by public voting. Each day, for 100 days, voters are able to pick one of five nonprofits to receive that day’s car. Day 50 of the 100 Cars for Good program had Pets Without Parents as one of the groups that day. I was beyond thrilled to see that PWP won a Toyota Sienna!! They will be able to use their new vehicle to pick-up animals from high-kill shelters across Ohio as well as vet visits and to take the dogs to adoption events.

This trip to PWP there was an entire litter of pups … but I did not get to photograph a single one out of that litter. The good news is, every single one of them had multiple applications for their adoptions. That always makes George and I happy when the dogs or cats are quickly in and out of the shelter. We did photograph a lot of cats and a few dogs this visit. I swear, every time we go, George and I each fall in love with the adoptables. It really is hard for us to not consider bringing another pet home with us, when playing (I mean working) with them. Take a look at all the cuties below, are in search of their forever homes!
