I recently met up with Lucia from Color Vanity by Lucia right before the launch of her new location in Boardman. We had a great conversation about hair and makeup for photo sessions. I always tell my female clients to have their makeup professionally done. Brides are not the only ones who need to think about professional makeup on the day of their photos – this includes headshots, Senior photos and family pictures. I know, that some of us (including me) aren’t girly girls. Why would you want to have your makeup done if you only wear it for special occasions. Guess what, a portrait session is a very special occasion!! Your everyday makeup works great for everyday, but a  professional can use the perfect colors to make your features pop for photographs.

A professional makeup artist will give you a flawless look for your photographs. Even though there is Photoshop, retouching can only get you so far. They can cover that pimple that of course, showed up the day before. They really  are artists, considering that they know how to play up your best features and hide the ones that aren’t the best.
