Even though we have had a few great snowfalls lately, I still have not had the chance to get out and update my collection of Mill Creek Park landscape images. With Christmas just days away, I did go through the archives to find these photographs I took last year, while at the park.

My dad and I spent an afternoon hiking around the Lanterman’s Mill area in the low temperatures and the fresh snow last year, for these images. Trying something a little different this time around, I changed my editing process for these photographs. Instead of my traditional, bold colors — I decided to make these photographs soft and almost pastel. I think it fits the winter scenes quite well with the soft colors and fresh snow.

Since it has become tradition for my mom to send out Mill Creek Park Christmas cards to family and friends, she selected the Lanterman’s Falls At Mill Creek Park image for her 2013 holiday cards.

I am looking forward to a chance to photograph the Mill, The Cinderella Bridge and the other historic locations at Mill Creek Park in the upcoming year. Although it makes me chilly just thinking about hiking around the park after a good snow!
