My favorite shoots are those that are top secret for Christmas gifts! I was so excited to get the call from Ellen about photographing her dogs, Scarlett and Gracie. These cuties came out to the Boardman studio right before the holiday deadline for photo sessions. These litter mates have spent the last 8 years of their life together enjoying being the babies of their humans. They were too cute during their photo session and I could tell the distinct personalities in the girls. Scarlett really had no interest in the camera or many of the noises I made. Gracie on the other hand was super curious who this new person was and what the strange noises were. Gracie would keep scooting closer to the camera and blocking her sister from view. Which was funny because Scarlett is the bigger one. You would have thought it would be the other way around!
Ellen came prepared with some adorable bows for the girls and their own personalized holiday sweaters! The dogs were completely overwhelmed when they walked into the studio and I think they still weren’t sure what had happened as they were leaving. But we did become best friends by the end of the shoot with all the treat rewards they ended up earning from me for their good behavior!
I love photographing dogs and these two were no exception. Scarlett and Gracie were so fun to work with and I’m thrilled their humans decided it was time to update their photographs! Here are a few of my favorites from these adorable Maltese dogs.
