When Deb contacted me about photographing her three little and furry new additions to the family, I was (of course) beyond excited to meet the girls. Jessie, Stormy and Pippa were just shy of four months old for their puppy portraits! Deb explained that at first, they were just going to take two of the Pomeranian puppies that they found in Cincinnati, but once they realized the runt of the litter was not going anywhere, they took her home, too!
When the pups arrived at the studio, they were wide awake after a little nap during the drive from Howland to Boardman. I loved that when I opened the door, Deb had her three little puppies in a dog stroller! What a great way to get them from point A to B without leashes. The girls have not ventured out much except for vet visits. Needless to say they were a bit nervous at first. They had learned their lesson that trips out of the house usually result in shots and exams. But after some play and kisses, I think that they realized there would be no puppy shots involved.
I was hoping that George would be able to help corral the dogs for me that day, but he woke up super sick that morning. The good news is that the girls were so well behaved that it did not matter that I was minus an assistant.
I started with individual photographs of the puppies, hoping that they would be so tired after all of the new sounds and smells, that we could get an amazing group photograph. Not only was I able to get that fun group photo, but I also captured some adorable individual images of each puppy, as well.
Here is some cuteness overload to brighten up your day. Just be warned, you may have a slight case of puppy fever after viewing!
