At 8 months old and a whopping 60 pounds, Matey is quickly becoming less of a puppy and more of a toddler. That is exactly why her owner, Sydney, wanted to schedule a photography session for her dog, before she got much older. Sydney suggested we use her friends’ property in New Albany for the photos and it was a great location. A big back yard with a creek running behind it made for an amazing backdrop on a very warm June day in Ohio.
Matey was ready to go as soon as the session started and by go, I mean check out the lay of the land. After some serious sniffing and exploring, she was then ready for her big photo session. Her owner brought along some very special treats to get this dog motivated … hot dogs! Matey was ready to work for the camera to earn some yummy rewards for herself. The quick, Essential Portrait Session was the perfect length for this dog since she is so young. We had just enough time to capture some beautiful photographs of her, yet it was short enough that she did not lose interest in me or the treats.
Thank you Sydney for choosing me to photograph your beautiful dog! I had a wonderful time and I am looking forward to the opportunity to photograph her in the future as she continues to grow!
if we all could be this happy…

Gorgeous dog, and beautiful images of her. You’re right, you can’t look at that face and not love her!
