When Cheryl contacted me about photographing her dogs, I knew she was as much of a dog lover as I am. We chatted on the phone about dogs, our mutual vet office and of course, having her girls photographed.
With names like Norma Jeane and Love, I knew this would be a super fun session. These two are stunning European Golden Retrievers who were possibly the best dogs I have ever worked with. Cheryl and her husband, Steve, had me come out to their home in Canfield, Ohio for their session. The dogs are so just so well behaved, their people have done an amazing job training them. So much so, that when I asked if the dogs could get on the couch or chair for photographs, they got up and quickly got down. They knew better than to be up on the furniture even though they were told it was ok!
After a few images in the house, we headed outside. It was super chilly that afternoon, but it came along with a fresh snowfall from the night before. The backyard at Cheryl and Steve’s home was lovely and I knew I wanted to capture some images of the dogs with the snow and trees in the background. Again, Norma Jeane and Love were so easy to work with outside. After a quick romp in the yard to release some of their extra energy, they were ready to go again for their photos.
A few of my favorites from their session are below. I had a great time meeting the dogs and their people and I am so excited for them to see the final photographs.
With the holidays right around the corner, this was my last session of 2013. There will be some big news coming up in January regarding Danielle Neil Photography, upcoming promotions and fun things for the new year. Check back soon to keep up to date on all the details!
