Oh, the yearbook deadlines. They loom for my clients all Summer and into the early Fall. Everyone loses track of time once school starts, with the homework, extracurricular actives and just the busyness of life! This is why I always tell clients to book their senior portraits in the Summer when schedules are a little more flexible. The same thing happened for Ryan. Ursuline High School senior yearbook deadline was November 1st. His mom Kelly called me not long before the deadline and we were able to find an opening on the calendar for him just a few days before the photo was due.
Low and behold it was pouring the day of Ryan’s scheduled photo session. I had him come to the studio to do a few quick headshots for the yearbook. That saved us from dealing with Mother Nature at least. They were able to pick out a photo for the yearbook and I had it submitted just in time.
We then had the most beautiful day for Ryan’s outdoor session. It was sunny and in the 70’s … in Ohio during November! I couldn’t believe it. The morning started out a bit cool, but by his photo session later in the day, it was warm and lovely. We met at Boardman Park and we even had some trees that still had Fall foliage on them!
Ryan and I walked around the park for his portraits and talked about the Mooney vs. Ursuline rivalry football game we had both attended in October. It was a heck of game and we were both shocked when Mooney pulled out the win over Ursuline at the very end of the game.
I’m so happy that I was able to accommodate Ryan’s schedule and that he and Kelly selected me to do his senior photos. Here are a few of my favorites from this Class of 2017 senior!
