I had a great session the other week with Gian Carlo. This was my first opportunity to photograph a Warren JFK student. His mom found me via the internet and we had a great connection on the phone right off the bat. I love having the chance to work with students from all over the area, not just Mahoning county.
We started at the studio to get his yearbook photo out of the way, then headed to Downtown Youngstown for the rest of his session. Gian Carlo’s mom and little brother came along for the photos. Initially we had discussed doing his photos at the studio and the park. But last minute, Gian Carlo decided he wanted a more city look for his photos. I knew he brought a leather jacket along too, so I thought Downtown Youngstown had the perfect look and feel for what he wanted. But he didn’t want too many brick walls in the background, since his older brother’s senior photos had a lot of brick. I love when my senior clients know exactly what they want.
We had a great time walking around Downtown and looking for spots that really had the feel Gian Carlo was wanting. And this handsome guy was an absolute natural for the camera. Below are a few of the photographs that he and his mom picked at their ordering appointment last week. Thank you Gian Carlo for choosing Danielle Neil Photography, you were a blast to work with!
