Cody’s mom and I have been chatting about his senior photographs for a few months now. She had contacted me in the fall about scheduling his senior portrait session as soon as the weather improved in the spring. I was thrilled that the weather started working in my favor early this year and we could get his photos done as early as March.
Cody will be graduating this year, Class of 2012, from Worthington Christian High School. While he had his yearbook photograph done in the fall, his mom decided to have me take the keepsake images that they will be giving to friends and family and displaying in their home. It is a great reminder to all clients that you do not have to use the school’s designated yearbook photographer for all of your graduation photographs.
I’m amazed by the amount of wonderful weather we have had in Columbus this spring. Although I was a tad bit nervous the morning of Cody’s senior portrait session because it had stormed overnight and again in the morning. Mother Nature was working in my favor again, when the skies cleared in the early afternoon. We did have to battle some wind gusts during his photos in Uptown Westerville, but all in all, it was another beautiful day.
Cody is planning on going to Columbus College of Art and Design (CCAD) to pursue his talent as an illustrator. It was great talking with him at his session about his plans for the future since I was also a Fine Art major in college. Hopefully Cody was not completely bored by me babbling about what I did in college and the work I did as a professional graphic designer before becoming a photographer.
Thanks to both Cody and his mom for choosing me to photograph his senior portraits.
