I met Andrea what seems to be a lifetime ago, when we were both studying graphic design at Youngstown State University. Like many people, we lost touch after graduation. But, thanks to the wonders of social media, we reconnected a few years ago on Facebook. She contacted me before the arrival of their newest family member to talk about a photography session at the North Lima studio. The newest addition to the family is Duncan, an itty, bitty little puppy! She had been looking for a dog for awhile and even asked that I keep my eyes open for her when I was photographing at the rescue. Once she found “the one” and before he even arrived home, we were planning out the photography session to include her son, Carson and his new puppy.
They arrived at the studio and the puppy was on a mission! Duncan wanted to see, sniff and play with everything in sight or reach. It took a lot of playing and running around to tucker this little dog out! He was still very excited once we started the photos but slowly started to lose steam. At one point, I wanted him to sit on Carson’s lap, but instead, he was curled up on mine. Carson did a great job trying to keep the little guy in his lap, arms or just anywhere near him during the photos. They both did a fantastic job and I adore some of the more casual photographs of the two of them hanging out at the studio and bonding. Here are a few of my favorites from these two cuties.
